Horses For Sale

Following are the current horses Ralph is offering for sale:

Franklin Sold

SOLD!!!  12-Year-Old Seasoned Intermediate Horse (Franklin)

Franklin is a chestnut thoroughbred (16.2/16.3 hh) with a wonderfully kind and gentle temperament, both in and out of the tack.  He has placed in more than 12 open intermediates, performed cleanly in a few advanced cross-country events, and won a CCI Two Star in 2009.  He started the 2011 season with a third and fourth placing at the prelim levels.

Franklin will make a magnificent mount for a rider in the early stages of his or her career.  He jumps like an old equitation horse and carries an almost hunter-like rhythm to his fences.  He is tidy with his legs and safe cross-country.  He has a very good trot for a thoroughbred, combined with a very steady canter and correct head carriage.  Consequently, he has the ability to score quite well in the dressage ring.

Horses with this experience, yet still young enough for a few more great years are rare, especially in the U.S.

SOLD—Congratulations to Gabby Ledger, his new owner!  Franklin is excited to have found his new home.

Victor

Eight-Year-Old Thoroughbred with Superstar Potential

"Victory Emblem", a.k.a "Victor" is a very handsome, thoroughbred gelding, with a gorgeous dark bay coat (16.1 hh).  At eight years old, he has been brought along slowly into his new career as an event horse.

He has competed in seven novice competitions, winning 1st place in three, and placing in the top six of the others.  He has also completed eight training-level events, and placed in five of them.  He is nearly ready to move up to the preliminary level.  His latest accomplishments include 4th Place Training, Ocala Horse Park, in February 2011.  In January, he placed 3rd in Training at Rocking Horse.

Victor has a fancy trot and a great deal of expression—an extremely well-moving thoroughbred overall.  He is a sharp, tidy and athletic jumper.  His cross-country movement is almost cat-like in its grace, and he is very brave at the fences.

Because Victor is a true thoroughbred, and therefore a bit forward going, we would not consider him a good fit for an amateur or young child.  However, he would suit a skilled, ambitious teenager or adult.

Victor has the raw talent and confident attitude of a future superstar, with the right producing.
